DV established themselves as a legit top 10 team when they throttled DeSoto at their place. Their ranking improved even more when SFA started gelling later in season. Quote

But my guess is that this was ‘stunning’ to the type of people that think Allen is still a relevant team. This is where preconceived assumptions about teams bias one’s judgement, rather than assessing what actually happens on the field in the present day. Maybe DeSoto wins in a rematch but who knows. I formulated my opinion after digesting their feedback. “Fluke” was the word most often mentioned. If NC wins a Chip we’ll all be proven wrong. I’m 110% more confident in DS ability to win a Chip this season than NC. Quote
