Is Venice better than DePaul and a few other teams?

Four of the nine national pollsters had Venice ranked this week. Competing favorably with #5 IMG will only increase those numbers next week and beyond. However, let's not forget that their best two wins to date (Cocoa and MNW) both lost this weekend, which could also quell their chances.

MNW lost to Miami Central by 3 who would probably beat half the teams ranked currently

They didn't get blown out

Until both Dades schedule those ranked OOS teams, we'll never know!

Considering the number of elite powerhouses Miami Central has scheduled in the last decade compared to teams like Ben Davis it's pretty safe to say Central isn't the one running from elite teams

The last 17 games says differently. Zero OOS games scheduled and none in 2024.

The past means nothing when it comes to 2024 rankings. Let's stay focused on the current. Since 2022 BD and MC have each played IMG exactly once.

Maybe it's irrelevant to rankings but it does have plenty to do with the perception of a teams competition and willingness to play good teams

I see plenty of teams talking big but it's easy to talk big when you play light competition

Some states have teams that may face 1 top 100 ranked OOS team in a decade but want to act like they are on the same level or better than teams who play that competition every year

Also is Miami Central already filled their schedule for next year? Because most Florida teams don't have their schedule filled until spring football if not mid summer

I communicated with Jube just a few weeks ago. He's well aware of who to call to schedule an elite oos opponent in 2025 and beyond.
