DV had a 5-star senior QB and 5-star senior WR playing. They damn well better have had better offensive numbers than MD’s 3-star QB playing in his fourth game ever at MD, in an offense far more complex than anything DV runs, without both his 5-star WR1 AND his 5-star RB1. We MD fans are just as frustrated by the relatively slow development of our passing game, but since football is both an offensive and a defensive game, we know that the scoreboard at the end of the game is the ultimate gauge of how successful the team was, and the MD scoreboard looked vastly different than DV’s the whole damn game. It would take a perfect storm for just about any public school team to beat MD. Defending state champ type with high end talent and they must have elite QB! At the very least it’s obvious enough to me that DV has closed the game. At least for last year and this year. DV has some dudes right now and the QB is legit.
