Yeah because a state that has proven they can't control recruiting nor can they decide on a single postseason format for more than 2 years is gonna be able to keep track of NIL and their potential public or private interests of a school
This is brilliant and clearly gonna end with nothing but success from the BeSt state association in the country right, right?

Yeah I checked the IMG guys. I don't think any were from the big 4 states. Nole correct me if I'm wrong.
To be fair I didn't realize at the time that there were only 3 since outside of McCarthy I forgot what IMG players were even in the draft
Though when nolebull pointed out it was only 3 players it also pointed out even without counting a single IMG kid Florida still was the leader for states of most drafted players this year

Whoever said it go back and make them feel like an asshole
Oh I have
As soon as I dropped the "IMG only account for 3 drafted players" suddenly they got nothing to say anymore
It's tough being the smartest person on social media every day surrounded by dumb dumbs
It basically reminds me of what it was like on other message boards most of the time

There were 3 IMG players and none of them were from FL
So IMG only had 3 total players in the draft and yet people are running their mouth on social media about how IMG is carrying Florida?
This is priceless 😂

So if your numbers is 26 that means only THREE of IMG Academy's players didn't grow up in Florida
Even at 26, Florida STILL has the most of ANY state despite states like Texas and California having more population
Anyone who refuses to acknowledge Florida as the top state for talent is just a delusional jackass who knows nothing about sports, so I'm guessing that's the majority of the "other site" who think a Don King wannabe like PC Gridiron knows football
Honestly they deserve each other at this point because if they aren't smart enough to read through trash that smelly and see the truth they probably are gonna spend their senior years getting scammed into giving away their social security number for a free trip to the Bahamas

26 total for FL
Did you remove all the IMG players even though some of them actually grew up in Florida?
-

You gotta subtract the IMG players who aren’t from here
Even without IMG Florida is still the top talent state
California and Texas have better resources and far more people and Florida still has more
Besides people act like every good IMG player came from another state, how about someone actually name specific players from IMG who were in another high school prior to IMG that wasn't a Florida school before we start acting like Florida is on the level of Rhode Island like the clueless bozos on the other site think

Hey! Do you have any idea how much work it takes to become @GardenStateBaller’s favorite alt? It’s taken me YEARS of hard work, therapy, insulting strangers on internet chat rooms, and intense soul-searching to prepare for this moment! Don’t blow it for me! 😭
Well you're already more funny than the real Los so I guess you're a keeper
Los 2.0 you're the upgrade here!

Exactly. No FL T50 team wanted that smoke. So they took what they could get. Teams in Broward and Dade are actually boycotting IMG behind the scenes.
Why? Miami Central beat them literally a year earlier and barley lost when they played in 2017
They could absolutely compete with IMG on an annual basis

It's not an advantage as IMG is one of the most feared HSFB teams in America. Proof is that teams like them and MD still haven't finalized their 2024 schedules yet. Very few have the courage to schedule them.
It is an advantage to have almost unlimited resources and full control over their schedule
Pretty sure they can just write a 50k check and play whoever they want with what they charge for tuition if they needed a game badly enough
There are teams who take 5k and will get on a 10 hour bus ride to get slaughtered

Yes, as I do most of the scheduling for IMG. Those were the only FL teams that agreed to play IMG. And we contacted all of the T50 teams in the state.
Neither were even close to a top 50 Florida team last year

You and I both know that the vast majority the top FL teams (including C-M) will no longer schedule IMG. Conversely, IMG beat three state champs last season (SJP, BD, GV).
And of all the undefeated teams last season C-M had the worst SOS by far (30.5).
And yeah some top teams won't play IMG but are you telling me Bartram Trail and Pine Forest were the BEST teams in Florida that would be willing to play? Neither were even top 100 in Florida last season
-
There's a reason a lot of people nationally tend to judge the SOS more in non conference games as those are games the team has control over

What's their SOS if you take out the district games that Chaminade is required to play by the state association?
It's an advantage for IMG to be able to create and buy their entire schedule without being slated with weak district games

St Frances MD has less than 300 students in the entire high school.
Again just more proof that enrollment doesn't mean nothing
If a school can pull the best of the best from anywhere (like every Florida school listed can) then their numbers don't mean anything
And before anyone says otherwise, the private schools I listed don't have boarding so any student attending has to either move or commute to the school so they aren't housing kids on their campus just for football like some like to falsely claim on some "other sites"

But then again when you have statboys like Los who think student enrollment means a damn thing and it gets repeated and festered among the morons running the state it's not all that surprising that stupid ideas get brought up constantly yet working ideas either get dropped after a single sports cycle or get mentioned once in a meeting and never brought up again
St. Thomas Aquinas - 2,085
Miami Central - 1,400
American Heritage - 1,575
Chaminade-Madonna - 585
Columbus - 1,740 (all-boys)
Cardinal Gibbons - 1,031
Two of the three smallest in student population in that group and both have finished #1 in the state in the past two seasons
But you're gonna tell me enrollment means a damn thing to success? GTFO with that stupid shit

Florida leadership across the board just talking and pandering for support but won't follow through on anything

You can always count on Floridumb to get it wrong.
Metro/Suburban was the closest system to “fair” that the FHSAA was ever going to create, and they abandoned it after 2 years without a truly good reason.
We’ll be going back to 25+ point playoff blowouts about 7 months from now.
Sometimes I can't figure out who's dumber
The state of Florida leadership, the FHSAA, or the absolute quacks on those other message boards
Sometimes it's about equal

It would be great to have an undisputed state champ in Florida. Long overdue.
But it won't happen because the FHSAA is run by quacks and they only used open division as a red herring to get metro suburban replaced
Now it will be back to state title games that are decided by an average of 35 points
Typical of the clowns running the show in that state

Except that Bixby was a top 20-30 team the last two years. No idea what they’ll be like this year.
Yeah but they are largely that high for going undefeated in a state where they face little to no competition

Based on the above scenario Team A obviously had the more difficult non-conference schedule this season. But when it comes to SOS, it's all about the complete and full body of work. For example, if Team B plays in an insanely tough conference, its SOS could be higher than Team As at season's end.
Well I didn't look at any specific teams
Mostly wanted to test the question of is it better to face nationally ranked competition in the same state or play teams from other states that aren't nationally elite
So say a team finished undefeated with similar competition as these teams with those as non conference wins you would say team A would have the more impressive resume right?

Team A:
St Thomas Aquinas
Miami Central
AHP
Venice
Cocoa
Jacksonville Trinity Christian
Team B:
Lake Placid (FL)
Victory Christian (FL)
Baldwin (FL)
Tift County (GA)
Highland Springs (VA)
Bixby (OK)

Yeah I'm thinking that maybe sticking to softball is probably the right call for me because it's clear football will continue to be a train wreck disaster and further mismanaged into the ground as long as the FHSAA continues these "meetings" to "improve" the sport and every decision has the opposite effect
