Couple of things about this league.

    1.  College Coaches are aware and actually like the concept.

    2.  NIL money will end up funneling from the colleges wink wink boosters.

    3.  New early signing period that will be voted in will eventually help this league

    4.  Athletes will use this league as their SR.  Year - then graduate early (easy to do these days especially if planned) see Quinn Ewers.

    5.  Will be enrolled at the university (boosters) who helped them originally with the NIL money.

    6.  Motivational factors include - 1.  Nutrition 2. Injury prevention thru proper training.  3.  Not being over used -example running back getting over worked his sr year in HS.

    7.  3 years if all goes good and you are in the nfl.   Elite athletes will play 3 years in college.  Others only 2.  However, year one you would have still been in HS.

    8.  Don’t forget about the potential NIL money.

it may take few years for concept to really catch on.  Potentially this great deal for some kids across the country!

Not fan of this.  Trust me the universities really like the thought of having elite players on campus early.

    # 6 above is happening when they are already on campus at the university they chose starting the fall of what would have been their sr year in HS.

trust me the vast majority will have better training and nutrition at the universities vs being at home playing HS football!

Marcus Harris is not playing in it, in fact he didn't even now his name and likeness was be used to promote this game, which I have a feeling Harris isn't the only one. What I found fishy, was the fact not one player's social media was tagged or listed their handles (X account), on those nice graphics promoting their commitments to the game. Yet this league is to start next week?? and not one California kid has confirmed to play nor has the California media has written anything about it. And I believe California kids would have to get CIF approval, or forfeit their upcoming senior season, knowing the way CIF works, they wont allow the formerly known as Geico OOS championship after the state games.

This all for what 2-6 games? Not worth it.

Actually, the plan is for kids to skip sr year of football.  Play at MD Sophomore and JR.  play in this league spring of Junior year.  Graduate early and head to college.

How do you measure greatness -- simply by wins?  I think a coach who takes average talent and has winning teams every year is much better then one who recruits a local all-star team and wins with that talent.

People seem to forget that John Wooden coached at UCLA for 26 years.  He didn't win a national title until his 15th year there.  Why?  One simple reason: he started recruiting nationally (NYC, Philly and DC).

The difference is everyone for the most part “big time universities” had the same ability to recruit nationally.
MD and select few of others are basically playing by different rules!  If not DLS would still be winning state with 2-way players.

Melissa, just so happens to be playing their first out-of-state game in school history this coming year and need the firepower.

Just kidding he probably has family there and it is a fast growing city.

His family is from Texas according to Hoover on the other site!

Because the Booty's are paying them good money to visit. Everyone wants to experience Texas Friday Night Lights!! You should be honored.

And don't worry, this game will NOT be broadcast to a national audience on the Flo Football channel.

This will be poor JV experience.  Just horrible match up.  Nobody will pay to watch this trash!

Per CalPreps Eastwood finished #1262 in USA. Below are the teams that each Top 5 Texas Power played that were ranked behind Eastwood:

    DS (2) = #2066 Legacy, #3024 Lake Ridge

    DV (3) = #1990 Hutto, #2066 Legacy, #3024 Lake RIdge

    SLC (4) = #1418 Eaton, #1997 Haltom, #2389 Fossil Ridge, #5491 Keller Central

    NS (5) = #1379 Humble, #2057 Kingwood, #2295 Spring, #4021 Beaumont United, #5257 West Brook

    Aledo (5) = #1429 The Colony, #2744 Brewer, #3194 Azle, #5546 Saginaw, #10136 South Hills

TX 5 "best" played 19 games vs worse competition than Eastwood. Sad.

Most are district games.  Rankings determined by bogus/fake polls anyways!

El Paso Eastwood is THE ONLY program in Texas with the balls to schedule SJB in 2024 (and 2025). Let that sink in!

It looks like DeSoto is scheduling Creekside GA, who lost 62-0 to MD last season.

DV MIGHT be hosting BC. 50/50 at this point.

NS once again is never in these conversations.

You spin the obvious here.  This is not about Duncanville!  It’s not really about Eastwood.  It’s about a recruited-Up all star 🤮 private school taking lopsided game vs team that has zero chance of making the game competitive.  You give them free pass because they are vomit 🤮 private school!
I would expect you to have bigger attitude towards this game as you did with DV vs Rockledge.

why don’t you sweeten the pot for DV vs BC?

SJBs SOS will undoubtedly take a small hit, HOWEVER the Braves are already playing highly-ranked MD twice + C-M.

Last season Duncanville chose to pay more money to play lesser Rockledge rather than host the better MC. Big difference. That decision was cowardly!

And this year SJB has chosen El Paso team who has zero chance to be competitive.  In fact Rockledge would be better competition.  Let that sink in!

There needs to be a coached seminar that teaches these coaches of garbage teams to stop prostituting their teams out to powerhouses. They are trading an ass whooping for money. It’s a mockery of the sport

Shit fire there is no real money to be made playing this game!
